Puppy Training

Puppyhood is the best time to lay the foundations for good behaviour. Now is the time to start teaching good manners, both in the home and out, with people and with other dogs. The Puppy Course is exclusively for puppies under 20 weeks old and is all about giving puppies a headstart to their training and socialisation. Topics covered in this course include recall, walking on lead, puppy biting, chewing, sit, down, handling and attention.


Due to the importance for puppies of beginning training alongside others of the same developmental stage, the puppy courses are held over six one hour lessons, from 9.15-10.15 and from 10.30 - 11.30.


The fee is still £85 p/pup - no price rise for 3 years! This includes all six classes. You can also order our manual ‘Raising Your Puppy’ at the reduced price of £5 (usual price £8) to be delivered to you either at your first class or at your pre-course visit.



LONG TERM OFFER : When you book onto the Puppy Course you qualify for a 1 hour pre-course home visit which is reduced from £50 to just £35. This visit allows you to address specific issues, e.g. recall, housetraining and jumping up, or simply to get started on your puppy’s training without having to wait until the course begins.

Talking Dogs is offers a choice of start times at our Yaxley training venue in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire. Our venue has indoor and outdoor training areas, plus toilets and kitchens.
